To encourage two-way exchanges, the Progetto Rocca supports research stays at Politecnico of MIT graduate students and advanced undergraduates in the fields of Mechanic Engineering, Bio-Engineering, Materials Science, and Mathematics.

Who is this program for?

Progetto Rocca supports research stays at Politecnico of MIT graduate students and advanced undergraduates in the fields of Mechanic Engineering, Bio-Engineering, Materials Science, and Mathematics.

How do I apply?

Applicants should submit their CV, academic transcript, a short statement describing the purpose of their proposed stay, a letter by a MIT faculty in support of their application, and a letter of acceptance by a Politecnico faculty host.

What are we looking for?

These Rocca Post-Doc Fellowships are meant to recognize and support young researchers of exceptional promise, but also to encourage ambitious collaborations between MIT and POLIMI faculty. The merits of the proposed collaboration will be essential in selecting the Fellows.

What is the duration of a Research Stay at Politecnico?

Research stays may vary in length from a minimum of one month to a maximum of six months. They may take place within an ongoing research collaboration, or they may provide an opportunity for the participating students and research groups to familiarize themselves with research taking place at Politecnico.

What amounts are awarded?

Awards will be commensurate to the length of stay.

When is the deadline?

The deadlines for the submission are April 15th and October 1st.
